Berlin
Berlin is one of 16 federal states and, along with Hamburg and Bremen, one of three city-states in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The city-state is governed by the Berlin Senate, the Senate consists of ten senators, each of whom is in charge of a senate administration (Senatsverwaltung). At the head of the Senate is the Governing Mayor (Regierender Bürgermeister), elected by the Berlin House of Representatives (Abgeordnetenhaus von Berlin).
