Mayor of Berlin

The Governing Mayor is the head of government of the federal state of Berlin. He is elected every five years by the House of Representatives (Abgeordnetenhaus) and chairs the Senate. The official seat of the Governing Mayor is the Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall).

The current governing mayor is Franziska Giffey (SPD).
